Dog Training at All Creatures Country Club
Great training builds great relationships — between dogs and the people who live with them every day.
At All Creatures Country Club, our training program is built around Sue Ailsby’s respected Training Levels system: a structured, positive-reinforcement approach that develops real-world obedience, confidence, focus, and communication.
This is not cookie-cutter obedience.
This is a progressive training system where you and your dog work at your own pace through seven Levels and up to 27 trained behaviors, building true mastery step by step.
Each Level builds on the one before it, creating a dog who is not just “obedient,” but thoughtful, responsive, emotionally steady, and able to work with you in everyday life.
Whether your goal is a calm family companion, better manners, reliable public behavior, therapy work, sport foundations, or future service-dog training, the Levels system gives you a clear roadmap.
What Dogs Learn
Training may include:
Focus and engagement
Loose-leash walking
Reliable recalls
Sit, down, stay, and duration work
Calm greetings
Impulse control
Cooperative care for grooming and vet handling
Confidence around distractions
Public manners
Advanced task foundations
After Level Two, owners may customize goals based on their dog’s temperament, strengths, and future purpose.
Positive Reinforcement Training
We use science-based positive reinforcement methods.
That means:
No shock collars
No prong collars
No intimidation
No dominance-based handling
Instead, we teach through communication, clarity, structure, reinforcement, and trust.
The result is a dog who understands how to succeed — not one simply trying to avoid punishment.
For Every Dog, Great and Small
We work with puppies, adolescents, adult dogs, seniors, rescue dogs, family companions, and service-dog candidates.
Every dog learns differently. The Levels system allows training to adapt to the individual dog while still maintaining clear standards and measurable progress.
Training Options
Training is available through:
Private instruction
Small group classes
Guided homework
Written feedback between sessions
Classes are held at our Greeneville training facility with flexible scheduling available.
We look forward to helping you open clear communication with your dog — and building the kind of partnership that lasts a lifetime.
