Description
If you are lover of music and different genres, then this event is for you. Whether you are a band that wishes to compete or an audience member plan to be at the historic Capitol Theatre in downtown Greeneville, TN Saturday March 23rd. The music starts at 7:00pm.
Main Street: Greeneville is hosting this regional battle of bands competition where the top winning bands will be invited to perform July 11th at Lyrics on the Lawn – Summer Outdoor Music Series. In addition to an invitation to perform at Lyrics the winning band will receive a Music Mashup monetary award of $500, a trophy, and bragging rights and the first runner up will receive $250, an invitation to Lyrics and event publicity.
Application to Perform
Bands of all genres are encouraged to complete the online application via the following link https://forms.gle/zbDvbuHYQsvamSp69 Be prepared to download or provide a link to video of a live performance. No studio recordings. Application deadline is Sunday, March 3rd. There is NO APPLICATION FEE. A committee will review the applications, make selections, and contact the competing bands with additional information regarding event rules and guidelines. All competing bands must be available to perform at Lyrics on the Lawn on the July 11th date should they be the Music Mashup winners. Tickets
Come join the excitement, watch, and listen to multiple genres of music as bands compete to be the winner of the first Main Street’s Music Mashup and Lyrics on the Lawn July 11th featured artists.
General Admission tickets are available online through The Capitol Theatre ticket outlet link https://capitoltheatre.ticketleap.com/main-streets-music-mashup—battle-of-the-bands/ . $20 per person in advance $25 day of show if applicable. The venue location is The Capitol Theatre of Greeneville, 104 South Main Street. Doors open at 6:00pm.
Volunteers
Main Street: Greeneville is a non-profit 501c3 corporation formed in 1983 and the first of five original Tennessee Main Street communities. An economic development program that supports sustainable community driven efforts within the eighteen block Main Street District downtown area dedicated to revitalization through public private partnerships that preserve our historic structures and promote heritage tourism. Volunteers are vital to the organization’s success.
