Description
Attending a Trout Unlimited meeting offers a unique opportunity to connect with a passionate community of anglers, conservationists, and outdoor enthusiasts dedicated to protecting and restoring coldwater fisheries. These meetings are a great way to learn about ongoing conservation projects, hear from guest speakers on topics like stream restoration and sustainable angling practices, and get involved in activities that directly benefit local waterways and fish habitats. Whether you’re an experienced angler or new to fly fishing, Trout Unlimited provides a welcoming space to share your love for the outdoors and make a tangible impact on preserving these vital ecosystems for future generations.
What to Expect
When you arrive, you will sign-in at the front table with your name and basic contact info. Choose a seat and meet someone new.
Once everyone gets settled, the president will start with an introduction and lead with a short prayer and a pledge to the flag.
From there we will ask if anyone has any recent fishing stories to share, or announcements.
From there, the President will introduce our guest speaker from a local organization such as the US Forestry Service, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) , Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), Greene County Partnership or others to educate and communicate with our club. This serves as an opportunity for us to be aware of laws and other activities that affect local and regional fishing as well as our waterways.
Do you want a voice? Here is your opportunity to speak up and directly talk to representatives of these organizations.
