Cherokee Chapter Trout Unlimited

Description

About Us & Our Mission

The Cherokee Chapter Trout Unlimited is more than just a group of anglers—it’s a dedicated community of conservationists, outdoor enthusiasts, and volunteers working together to protect and preserve our local coldwater fisheries. Our mission is to ensure that future generations can enjoy clean, vibrant streams and rivers, thriving fish populations, and the art of fly fishing. Through hands-on conservation projects, public education, and advocacy, we’re committed to safeguarding these precious natural resources in our region.

Annual Kids Fishing Day

One of our most beloved events is the annual Kids Fishing Day, where we invite families to come together and introduce the next generation to the joys of fishing and the importance of conservation. This fun-filled day is packed with activities for kids of all ages, from casting lessons and educational games to learning about local aquatic habitats. Volunteers from our chapter are on hand to share tips, help kids catch their first fish, and inspire a lifelong love for the outdoors. Kids Fishing Day is a reflection of what we stand for—connecting people to nature, educating about environmental stewardship, and ensuring that our waters remain pristine and fishable for years to come.

Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just beginning to explore the world of fishing, the Cherokee Chapter welcomes you to join us and make a difference!
