Description
The Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to the welfare of animals in Greeneville and Greene County, Tennessee. Our mission is to provide compassionate care, facilitate adoptions, and promote responsible pet ownership within our community.
Our Services:
- Adoption Center: We strive to match homeless animals with loving families, ensuring each pet finds a safe and nurturing environment.
- Spay/Neuter Programs: To combat pet overpopulation, we offer low-cost spay and neuter services. Our monthly clinics provide affordable options, including vaccinations and microchipping. For scheduling, please call 865-771-7043 or 865-617-4417.
- Volunteer Opportunities: Community involvement is vital to our success. We welcome volunteers to assist with daily operations, animal care, and events.
- Lost and Found Pets: We assist in reuniting lost pets with their owners, offering resources and support during such distressing times.
In March 2022, we broke ground on a new, larger facility to better serve our growing community. This expansion includes larger dog kennels, more comfortable accommodations, and enhanced spaces for our feline friends. The project was made possible through the generosity of our supporters, as we operate without government funding.
At the Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society, we believe every animal deserves a loving home. Through community support and dedicated efforts, we continue to make a positive impact on the lives of animals and their human companions.
