Rotary in Greeneville: People Coming Together to Make a Difference
The Rotary Club of Greeneville is a group of local people who believe that strong communities are built when people are willing to get involved. Our members are business owners, professionals, community leaders, retirees, volunteers, neighbors, and friends who share a desire to serve others and make a positive difference in Greeneville and Greene County.

Rotary’s motto is “Service Above Self,” but service can take many different forms. Sometimes it means rolling up our sleeves and working on a project. Sometimes it means supporting a local organization that is already doing great work. It can mean encouraging a student, investing in education, helping a family, improving a community space, or contributing to a project that will continue benefiting Greeneville for years to come.

Over the years, the Rotary Club of Greeneville has supported projects and organizations throughout our community, including Rotary Field and Pavilion at Hardin Park, the Rotary Pavilion at Rural Resources, Isaiah 117 House, academic scholarships, and other efforts addressing needs locally and beyond. Rotary is also part of an international network working on challenges such as the worldwide effort to eradicate polio.

Rotary is about more than projects and donations; it is about relationships.

Our meetings give members an opportunity to hear from people doing interesting things throughout Greeneville and East Tennessee. Local nonprofit leaders, educators, entrepreneurs, government officials, business leaders and community organizations help us better understand what is happening around us. Those conversations often lead to new friendships, partnerships and ideas for serving our community.

And you don’t have to be a CEO, elected official or lifelong community leader to belong in Rotary.

You simply need to care.

If you have ever driven through Greeneville and thought, “Someone should do something about that,” Rotary is a place where that thought can become a conversation—and that conversation can become action.

If you are new to the area, Rotary can help you meet people and become connected to the community. If you’ve lived here your entire life, it can introduce you to people, organizations and needs you may never have encountered.
